High school students “Sing Out” at East Rochester for a worthy cause | Arts & Culture
A cast of nearly 50 students from 12 area high schools will perform in the annual Sing-Out production, a musical revue blending comedic charm with song and dance.
Proceeds from the show will benefit Philip’s Gift, the pediatric palliative care program at the CURE Childhood Cancer Association.
The show will be performed at 8:00pm Friday May 4 and Saturday May 5 at East Rochester High School Auditorium. Tickets are available at the door for $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and $6 for guests under 19. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the East Rochester Village Office, Visual Changes Salon, and Debbie Supply.
Sing-Out productions mix classic numbers from the American song book with contemporary pop hits, creating a two-act show that appeals to all ages. This year, audience members will hear songs including Cee Lo Green’s Forget You, Aquarius from the Broadway musical Hair, and Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’.
