Fairport charity shop to celebrate $100,000 customer

It took the Tool Thrift Shop less than 2 years to make make $100,000 since opening in 2010. Now the charity shop is honoring the customer that helped them reach their mark.

Ed Stockman will be honored at a brief ceremony on Friday, August 10, at the store. The Tool Thrift Shop's CEO Thomas Poelma will be presenting Stockman with a gift certificate and will celebrate with the shop's volunteers.

The Tool Thrift Shop is a volunteer-run, donation-based, resale shop featuring tools and hardware at great prices. Revenue earned from the shop supports Senior Options for Independence -- a group that supports seniors who choose to age in their own homes.

The Tool Thrift Shop is located at 126 Fairport Village Landing. For more information on the event, call (585) 223-0484
