Don't like Black Friday? Try Orange Friday instead

Not a fan of the crowds and sales on Black Friday? A unique craft sale is giving you the chance to still get some shopping done, while helping a good cause.

The "Orange Friday" sale is in memory of Hannah Congdon, one of the Fairport Five- five best friends killed in a car crash just days after graduating from Fairport High School.

The craft show goes until 3 p.m. at Casa Large Vineyards on Turk Hill Road. Proceeds benefit a school in Kenya which was built by "Hannah's Hope," a charity that was set up after the teen died in a car crash along with 4 of her friends in 2007.

Organizers are calling it an "Orange Friday" sale, because orange was Hannah's favorite color.

"The fact that we've been able to build on her memory and build a beautiful school and continue to add classrooms in Kenya is just I'm sure something that she'd be extremely proud of," says Hannah's father, Terry Congdon.
