Design Pool & Spa in Fairport hosts American Red Cross Hands-Only Citizen CPR Course | Events

Design Pool & Spa in Fairport is hosting a free Hands-Only CPR class on Saturday. The class will be the first American Red Cross hands-only course offered in Rochester.

Class participants will learn proper hand positioning, compression rhythm and depth so that they can perform Hands-Only CPR safely and effectively. Hands-Only CPR is a non-mouth-to-mouth technique used in out-of-hospital settings. A person can use this form of CPR in the event of an emergency, pool side or elsewhere, while waiting for EMTs or paramedics to arrive. The hands-only technique increases the likelihood of surviving cardiac emergencies that occur outside medical settings.
