New Ireland trip for Fairport students unlikely | News
Fairport school officials say a senior trip to Ireland is "unlikely" to be rescheduled.
Earlier this week News10NBC reported that 19 Fairport students were supposed to spend their winter break in Ireland. The school trip hit a snag because a flight delay caused them to miss a connecting flight in Newark and an airline strike in Germany prevented them from rebooking.
Fairport High School Principal Chris Salinas told parents Tuesday night the District will try everything they can to reschedule the trip. But the Irish school calendar has only a few school vacations and those days probably won't work with Fairport’s schedule.
The families are already being refunded the cost of the original trip.
