A young driver escapes tractor trailer crash with bumps and bruises | News

Route 31 at Turk Hill Road was narrowed to one lane after a tractor trailer crashed into a compact car.

Witnesses and sheriff's deputies at the scene say the car driver, described as a a young man, pulled out in front of the tractor trailer as it was heading east on Rt.31 through the Turk Hill Rd. intersection.

One neighbor who ran to help the young driver told News10NBC that the driver told him he was having car problems and "was just trying to make it home."

Sheriff's deputies say the driver was taken to the hospital just to be safe.
