Fairport cheerleaders compete at two local tournaments Saturday | News

The Fairport Cheerleaders competed at two local tournaments on Saturday January 19. The varsity squad won first place in Division I at the Monroe County Varsity Cheerleading Competition at Victor High School.

During the ceremony, the All County teams were announced. Seniors Ellie Heier, Jordyn Woods and Meghan Smith were named to the first All-County team. Senior Brielle DeJoe was named to the second All-County team.

Also, on Saturday, the JV cheerleaders were capturing top honors for Junior Varsity Division 5 at the 2013 Empire Cheer Winter Classic at RIT. Their score of 317 was the top score of both the morning and afternoon sessions.
